Successful life planning requires effort and support, which we believe can best be achieved in a focused group setting. These groups are led by experienced coaches and are oriented toward each person’s every individuals strengths, talents and goals, in a balanced, supportive environment. The purpose of this group discussion is to allow each Pathways participant to undergo self-examination directed toward a comprehensive strategy to help achieve her full potential. Pathway participants will meet three times per week for eight weeks Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6 to 9 p.m.
Stress disturbs both mind and body and negatively affects a person’s ability to achieve her goals. Yoga has been proven for centuries as a relaxing and healthy way to approach and deal with all forms of stress. On Monday night, group discussion will occur from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by instruction in meditative yoga practices from 8 to 9 p.m.
No program involving the development of life goals is complete without a focus on nutrition. With the guidance of a culinary expert, each Wednesday night the group focus is learning new ways to approach and make healthy meals by preparing and enjoying a balanced, nutritious dinner. After this culinary instruction, the participants will proceed with their group discussion.
On Thursday’s from 6 to 7 p.m., a new expert lecturer will discuss a different topic each week for eight weeks, such as trust building, career planning, money managing and healthy body image. It will be followed by the group discussion session from 7 to 9 p.m., which will focus on creating each person’s life plan.
